INFO Southeast Florida is known as the Florida Gold Coast. It consists of three
counties: Palm Beach, Broward and Miami-Dade. It takes about 90 minutes to
drive from West Palm Beach to Miami. The region has three international
airports. The Bahama Islands are about that far when taking a speed boat or
about five hours with a cruise ship.
The weather and beaches attract many tourists throughout the year. Many
visitors are surprised to find that this area is not for tourists and
retirees only. There are many industries flourishing and attracting people
from all over the world to settle here.
The activities are countless too; from playing a round of golf to
getting wild at Miami's South Beach.
